There are internet problems, and there are platform problems. It’s a distinction I wrote about earlier this year, when trying to think through how tech companies should respond to the Christchurch killing. And it’s a distinction I thought about again this weekend, when I read the New York Times’ disturbing investigation into the rapid spread of child sexual abuse imagery on the internet.
